Hospital Hell for parents?

You would think that being in a hospital you'd get rest and less worry .Anyone who has been in one for a long amount of time away from home will tell you different though for sure.Don't get me wrong we had a room with my sick disabled boy Ian but we were ill prepared.We washed clothes in the shower and drank stale old coffee for three weeks.These inconviences however did not even hold a candle to the worry and frustration from the lack of sleep. We averaged an hour and half (if that!)a night.That puts a toll on a relationship with a spouse any day of the week.My son (after a long series of tests)was diagnosed with a blockage in his lower stomach that basically paralysed his stomach,induced constant vomiting and abdominal pain.Oh and ,major dehydration.The doctors said that in another 12 hours he might have died had we not taken him to the emergency room.SOOOO.... here I am now almost ready to get back to work on drawing and finding a job.Oh I didn't mention that? That's right ,a month ago I was laid off from my job .So,let me say I am broke, jobless, worried and have no direction to aim for.Me and God had it out for a while but I determined he still knows what is best for me and he has supplied me everything I needed throughout my ordeals so He will remain my Master.Thanks for letting me gab.
BTW this is not a plea for mercy.I have been through worse.
My heart goes out to the parents with REAL sick kids who have this as a constant in their lives.They are what save me.I did some drawings up there for some of those kids and let me say.THEY ROCK!Any of you guys out there feeling sorry for yourself ....Go meet a sick kid in the hospital and then tell them your worries HHHAAA!!Count your blessings.Life is all ours if we live it one hour at a time.
